I struggled quite a bit with finding a title for this drawing. I tossed around ideas of how the leaf had fallen and was dying. It was easy for me to find darkness, even though the drawing itself is not dark. I chose ‘Changing Seasons' because I decided that I wanted to focus less on the death of the leaf, and more on a new chapter of the leaf’s journey in life. This drawing was inspired by a photograph I took of a leaf in a dry creek bed at Goldstream Park. The wildlife park is located on Vancouver Island, in British Columbia, Canada.
