Before I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder I was working on my private pilot license through the Victoria Flying Club. I have always loved flight because I think of it as freedom. On the ground I've found it's easy to turn my problems into mountains, but when I'm in the sky, on a plane, I can gain perspective of how small those problems really are. Although eagles are often associated with freedom, power and transcendence, I drew my eagle flying to represent a bird's eye view. Because no matter who you are, or where you are, perspective is always important.
