Where the Unicorns Play

The Companion by Amy Frank (2016)

Close your eyes slowly

Let your mind float away

Escape to the place

Where the unicorns play

Where the sparkling clear water

Laughs as it flows

Where the nightingale’s song

Softly echoes

And as the sun sets

On this beautiful day

The crickets hum peacefully

As the light drifts away

The fire flies shine

Like stars in the sky

And everything is calm

As time passes by

Animals, humans, the earth and the sea

All gathered together

And created thee

They mastered a world

where all dreams come true

No hunger, no pain

No feelings of blue

So close your eyes slowly

Let your mind float away

And escape to the place

Where the unicorns play
