What We Put Out Comes Back Tenfold

I honestly believe that what we put out comes back to us. To wish ill on others or to gossip in harmful ways—all of this gets returned to the sender x 10.

In psychosis I was told that I’m not allowed to curse, I can only bless. It’s been hard as I have all kinds of angry emotions but I need to, and I choose to, keep bringing myself back to a place of love and forgiveness (for myself and others). Doing Metta meditations helps. When I’m really stressed or emotionally activated, I put on a 5 minute guided loving kindness meditation (aka Metta). YouTube and the app InsightTimer (there’s a free version) have a ton.

Doing the right thing for the wrong reasons is still the wrong thing, so it’s hard as I’ve gotta be genuine in my intentions of well wishes towards others. Sometimes when I’m really angry I don’t have it in me to send out love and kindness so instead I send blessings to all those whom have felt harmed by (whichever) people. And no, not to have the blessings returned to me. Doing the right thing for the wrong reasons is still the wrong thing. Doing good because you want good back, is not doing good. It’s important to do what’s right because it’s what’s right; there’s no other reason than that. Love is always right; Kindness is always right; Compassion is always right—for one’s self and all other life. 🙏

I want to live in line with my values so it’s important to me that I walk my own talk. Tonight I send out love, kindness, and healing energy to all those who need it.

“May you be safe.

May you be healthy.

May you be content.

May you be free.”

This meme was created by my yoga teacher Nyk Danu Yoga, whom I learned about Metta meditations from.

Setting Boundaries

As I heal, the term “boundaries” comes up a lot. I don’t want to hurt anyone, including myself. To feel emotionally safe, I need to know...
